Delightful aromatics of violets and raspberry with a hint of cassis and cinnamon contribute finesse and lend a peppery perfume to the rich palate, which is silky with fine to medium tannins and a very elegant finish. 13% abv. 

Vineyard & Winemaking

This single vineyard expression is sourced from a unique site within ‘The Favourite’ block in Lower Dashwood, Awatere Valley. Handpicked and fermented in a small oak cuve, partially cold-soaked for three days, and gently hand plunged. Subsequently, it was left on skins for 10 days, pressed off, and matured in 100% new French oak barriques for 24 months, with one rack and return before bottling. The wine is unfiltered and has one-year bottle age prior to release.
