Organic White Basmati Rice – Aromatic, Fluffy & Naturally Pure | SpiceBloom

$11.95 NZD $13.49 NZD

USDA Organic Long-Grain Rice

Organic White Basmati Rice

Aromatic long-grain rice that cooks light and separate for biryani, pulao, curries, dals and everyday meals.

SpiceBloom Organic White Basmati Rice has a delicate aroma, mild nutty flavour and slender grain. When rinsed, soaked and cooked carefully, the grains become tender and fluffy while remaining more separate than shorter-grain rice varieties.

Serve it with vegetable curries, lentil dal, grilled meats or roasted vegetables, or use it as the base for biryani, pulao, fried rice, rice salads and meal-prep bowls.

Preparation tip: Rinse the rice two or three times, then soak it for 15–20 minutes before cooking for a lighter, more separate texture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should basmati rice be rinsed before cooking?

Yes. Rinsing two or three times removes loose surface starch and can help the cooked grains remain more separate.

Does the rice need to be soaked?

Soaking for approximately 15–20 minutes is recommended for this product before draining and cooking.

Can it be used for fried rice?

Yes. Cook the rice, cool it thoroughly and use it in fried rice, rice salads or meal-prep bowls. Short-grain rice is generally preferred for sushi.
